Cemeteries are either privately owned or run by a municipality. When it comes to privately owned cemeteries, Memorial Preplanning can walk you through the whole process including tours of the cemetery, finding the exact plot, niche, columbarium, crypt, or family estate, and completing the contract and making payment arrangements.

Cemetery property typically starts about $895 and can go up to several thousand. Family Estates and Private Mausoleums can have a hefty price tag, but to many they are worth every penny.

City cemeteries are a little different, Memorial Preplanning can provide you with information and guidance; however, you must purchase the plots through the city. City cemeteries are supported by taxes, so for residents the cost to purchase a plot can be less than a private cemetery. But for non-residents, most cities will be equal in price to a private cemetery.
